Hello Bridgewater!

Pool Update:
The Pool will officially re-open tomorrow (May 31st) after a thorough cleaning. Camera footage was reviewed, and the board is addressing the incident that ultimately contributed to the shutdown. In the meantime, we want to insure this doesn’t happen again anytime soon. If you witness someone bringing glass into the pool area or violating any of the posted rules: please either have a polite conversation with the individual(s) or reach out to the board immediately so we can address it. After reviewing the pool footage earlier this week, the decision has been made to do random keycard checks to ensure no outsiders are utilizing our pool facilities and the guest policy is not being abused. We want to make sure our pool is open and safe so that all Bridgewater residents can enjoy it throughout the entire season.

William Douglas Update:
The current Board has grown frustrated over the lack of follow through, oversight, and accountability from William Douglas and has given them multiple opportunities to correct those issues. Not only has WD not addressed our concerns, but also increased the management fee for 2024 prompting the board to make a change.

The board interviewed and received proposals from several area companies and ultimately made the decision to move forward with locally owned Greenville HOA Services. Greenville HOA Services has received glowing reviews based on the quality of customer service, and feedback from neighborhoods they service. Our current agreement with William Douglas will officially end on June 30, 2024. At that time Greenville HOA Services will take over our community property management services. Please do not reach out to Greenville HOA prior to July 1 st . We will provide contact information and additional details as we near the end of our agreement.

Greenville HOA services is coordinating with William Douglas to transition all current ARC requests, community records, payments, assets, and violations. Our expectations are for this to be as seamless to the residents of Bridgewater as possible. However, we realize that with any transfer of services, we will experience a few glitches along the way. During the month of June, if there are items that need to be addressed through William Douglas, I urge you to also include the board as a part of that correspondence. We want to ensure you get the time and attention that is deserved. Please use the following email address: contact@bridgewatersimpsonville.com

The only immediate issue will be getting pool access cards are transitioned correctly. Pool cards will continue to work through the end of June but will need to be re-captured for the transition. Keycards can be re-registered on our website at the following address: bridgewatersimpsonville.com/pool-key-card

Speaking of the website, we have already been received over 4500+ page views since launching a month ago! We are continuing to explore opportunities to add more resources to the site to make it even better. The board is currently working on revamping the ARC request form to make it a little more user- friendly as well as providing an online form option in the very near future. If you have additional suggestions, please share them with us!

Board Change:
Lastly, I also wanted to take a minute and thank Tiffany Stewart for her time and contributions as a Bridgewater Board member. Tiffany has resigned her position, and the board wishes her and her family nothing but the best moving forward! We sincerely appreciate everything she has done while a part of the board!

I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Summer! We look forward to seeing ya’ll around the pool or at one of our upcoming Movie Nights! Thanks for making Bridgewater such a great place to live!
