Based on the community feedback, the board met last week and voted in favor of signing a preliminary agreement and grant of easement with WOW Internet Service. The next stage will be ordering a scope of work for the board to review if any changes are necessary before any installation will begin. Speaking with our WOW Internet representative, after the scope is approved, this project is likely not going to be started until the fall of 2024. The board will continue to deliver updates in an effort to remain transparent throughout this process.
We are just a couple weeks away from the official opening of the Bridgewater pool. Keycards that were active last year should continue to work. However, if you have an issue, please contact Jessica with William Douglas to get this resolved. If you are new to the neighborhood and haven’t received your pool key, please also contact Jessica at (864) 284-6515.
The board has been busy working on getting the final touches completed at the pool. This Saturday we are looking for any volunteers to help re-paint the bathrooms, pick-up up litter around the community space, as well as assist with pressure washing the pool deck. Please let us know if you are able to attend.
On a side note, it was brought to our attention a couple weeks ago that the pool pump had failed and needed to be replaced. This was a $2500 unbudgeted expense that will likely impact some of the additional improvements that we were planning for 2024. We will keep an eye on the budget and do our best to deliver some of those additions.
Finally, we will have a full schedule of Food Trucks and the Summer Movie schedule posted very soon, as well as a new way to keep up to date with all things Bridgewater!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thanks again for making Bridgewater a great place to live!
